The placement tests are an innovative
approach used to help place you in the right course(s). The tests adapt to your individual
abilities by selecting questions geared toward your knowledge. The tests are
not timed.
Tests are administered in the Testing
Center, Bldg. 9-927. Try to come for your placement test(s)
rested and well. Allow plenty of time to avoid rushing. Relax before the test(s) start.
You will probably do better if you feel confident. There are no
accommodations for children.
Since the test(s) measure your
capabilities, YOU WILL WANT TO DO YOUR BEST.
These tips may be helpful.
1. Follow all instructions.
2. Concentrate on your work.
3. Avoid distractions.
4. Answer each question when presented.

Placement testing at Beaufort County
Community College is used to achieve appropriate placement for students into reading,
mathematics, and English courses. All entering degree or diploma seeking students are
required to take the placement test. Placement scores are also a major
consideration in determining admission to the Allied Health
curriculum. ALL TESTS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. CALL THE
ADMISSIONS OFFICE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. 252-940-6237.
