following software tools and applications are
recommended for use by faculty and their students in
support of all distance and hybrid courses.
Software Requirements:
Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.2 or higher
Microsoft Office Suite XP or higher (Word 2007or 2010)
Microsoft Windows Operating System XP or higher
Antivirus Program - Up to date antivirus definitions
Note: Some courses may require additional software. Check course syllabus requirements.
Browser Requirements: (download preferred browser)
MS Explorer 8.0.0 or higher
Firefox browser 3.6 (Preferred for Blackboard)
Note: AOL users may encounter problems

Computer with Microsoft Windows Operating System XP or

Internet connection (DSL or Cable)
Valid Email address
Computers are available on campus in the BCCC Library,
Building 5, LRC.
Student Email is available for registered curriculum students. Students should check their student email for important information.
